The Golden Strip Shrine Club
The Golden Strip Shrine Club is a Club within the Hejaz Shriners. Our main purpose is to raise money for the Shriner's Hospital. Secondarily, we enjoy each others Friendship. We double each other's highs and divide each other's lows. It is our belief that Shriners work hard and play hard! Golden Strip Shriners do BOTH!
Each member of the Golden Strip Shrine Club must be a 3rd-degree Master Mason in good standing and each man has matured though increased knowledge and wisdom. The GSSC is "a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth." -Shriners International
2024 SHRINERS CIRCUS
Probably the most recognized Event that the Shriners do is the Shriner's Circus. Here are some pictures of the GSSC Members giving their time for the betterment of Children in Need at the Spartanburg Show. The Circus raises funds that go directly into the Hospitals so that no child will be turned away nor charged for the hospital care they need.
2024 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Greenville
Both the Shriners and the Shrinettes of the Golden Strip Shrine Club enjoyed a brisk day entertaining the Masses at the annual St. Patrick's Day in the Greenville Parade. We handed out over $200 in candy to the Children and waved to the thousands lining the Streets of Downtown Greenville. Parade participation is one of the highlights of being a Shriner.... a Golden Strip Shriner!! And Shrinette!! Thank you to all who attended and all who participated! See you all at the next Parade!!
2024 GSSC Car Show
On April 20th, the GSSC had its Annual Car Show featuring every make and model imaginable!! Such a successful Fundraiser with a Large number of our GSSC Nobles attending and assisting! Fun and fellowship... that was the name of the Game. And the SHRINETTES... could not have been a successful Event without them. From taking Entry Information on each Show Car, to selling Raffle Tickets to preparing and serving the Food!! Our Golden Strip Shrinettes are the absolute BEST!!
The Golden Strip Shrine Club usually meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month for its Business Meeting. We are meeting at Simpsonville Methodist Church at 7:00pm and visit a local restaurant for a meal and fellowship after the Business Meeting. Wives/Girlfriends are Invited and requested to attend the Meal!
